Quickstart Guide

Make your first Mulaichat API call to inspect connected accounts and publish your first post in under two minutes.

This guide walks you through authenticating with Mulaichat and creating your first programmatic post across your social media channels.

1. Authentication

Every request to the Mulaichat REST API must include your API key in the Authorization header:

Authorization: Bearer mc_live_••••••••••••••••

You can create and manage API keys from the API Keys section in your dashboard.

2. Verify Your Identity (GET /v1/me)

Verify your active credential and subscription tier:

curl -X GET "https://api.mulaichat.com/v1/me" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer mc_live_your_api_key_here"

Example Response:

{
  "user": {
    "id": "01931a2c-7b44-7f12-8e34-5f1234567890",
    "name": "Alex Developer",
    "email": "alex@example.com",
    "plan_tier": "pro"
  },
  "quotas": {
    "posts_remaining": 500,
    "accounts_connected": 5
  }
}

3. List Connected Accounts (GET /v1/accounts)

Retrieve the list of social media accounts linked to your workspace:

curl -X GET "https://api.mulaichat.com/v1/accounts" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer mc_live_your_api_key_here"

Copy the id of the target account for your upcoming publication.

4. Publish Your First Post (POST /v1/posts)

Publish immediately or schedule for a future date:

curl -X POST "https://api.mulaichat.com/v1/posts" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer mc_live_your_api_key_here" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "account_ids": ["acc_9c7f18e2-5951-4791-ac9b-9e24ebb12b8f"],
    "caption": "Hello world from Mulaichat API! 🚀 #buildinpublic",
    "publish_now": true
  }'

To schedule for a specific wall-clock time, replace publish_now: true with an ISO 8601 UTC timestamp:

"scheduled_at": "2026-11-05T14:30:00.000Z"
